1929-2026

Cameron, Missouri- Glenn Elden Riley, 96, passed away March 26, 2026. He was born on September 24, 1929 to Albert Irvin and Nancy Jane (Briggs) Riley.

Glenn was a hardworking family man who owned and operated Riley’s Turf Farm and Alpine Landscaping business for over 65 years until retirement. He also built airplane parts at the Ford plant during the end of World War 2. Glenn was an adventurous soul, always out of the house spending time with his family from riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, hunting with his brothers, trips to Branson and the Ozarks to see the trees in the fall, numerous county fairs, to hosting hay rides and weenie roasts. Glenn loved country music and dancing. He never met anyone that didn’t become his friend. He loved to plant trees and tend to them as they grew. Glenn proudly served on the Kidder Fire Department for several years and also served on the Kidder Park Board and Kidder Senior Housing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Winsome, his wife of 45 years; great-grandson, Jarod Pullen; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors: wife, Joyce, of the home; son, Ed (Reta) Riley, Cameron, Missouri; daughter, Glenda (Russ) deFlon, Louisburg, Kansas; step-children, Kevin (Kris) Roberts, Gina (Wendell) Miller, both of Kidder, Missouri; 3 grandsons, Glen Riley, Matt deFlon, and Josh deFlon; several grandchildren,

great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Services: 11:00 am, Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Kidder United Methodist Church.

Visitation prior to the service, 9:30 am - 11:00 am.

Burial in Kidder Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Kidder Cemetery.
