Barbara L. Pollard Obituary

Barbara L. Pollard - age 60 of Braymer, MO passed away Monday morning February 2, 2026, at NorthCare Hospice in North Kansas City, MO. Barb was born on February 14, 1965. She was the daughter of Ed and Patricia  (Brown) McBee. She grew up in Braymer and was a 1984 Graduate of  Braymer High School. She began her love of caring for others at the age of 14, when she began working at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer. She married Nathan Pollard on March 2nd, 1985, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chillicothe, MO. In 2000, she received her LPN and then in 2001, received her RN from North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Barb worked at Golden Age Nursing Home, Liberty Hospital and a  few other nursing facilities in Northwest Missouri. She had a Passion for taking care of elderly people and giving them dignity in their final days. Barbara was also a great mother and homemaker. She loved her grandchildren  and often enjoyed their shopping and dinner trips together. Barb liked to bowl , knit and crochet. She was quite an artist and made all kinds of crafts.  Barb also enjoyed gardening in her spare time. Barb was an avid Chiefs fan. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia; brother, Wayne Howe. She is survived by her husband, Nathan  of the home; four sons, Zachary Pollard (Shannon) of Hamilton, MO, Raymond Pollard (Susan) of Paola, KS, Issac Pollard of Cowgill, MO, and William Pollard of Cowgill, MO; grandchildren; her father, Ed McBee; and  sisters, Evelyn Hacker of Chillicothe, MO, Jackie St. Clair (Gary) of Lake Of The Ozarks, Cassandra Ratliff (Clayton) of Braymer, MO, Debbie Howe of California, and Pam Howe of Braymer, MO; nieces nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Golden Age Nursing Home  in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Barbs Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Braymer Christian Church in Braymer, MO.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, also at the church. Burial will follow at Cowgill Cemetery, southeast of Cowgill. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Polo (660) 354-2214.
