Betty Clariday

Betty Clariday, age 74, a resident of Cowgill, MO, passed away at her residence Monday, June 4, 2018. Betty was born the daughter of Obed Paul Barber and Grace Evelyn (Brown) Barber on Nov. 1, 1943, in Coffey. She attended the Lawson Assembly of God Church. On Nov. 16, 1963, she married Larry Clariday in Hamilton. 

Betty worked for Walmart in Richmond and for Stride Rite Shoes in Hamilton. She had a passion for reading and she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Betty is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; her two sons, Martin Wayne Clariday (Pauletta) of Lathrop and Larry Mitchell Clariday, Jr. (Angela) of Braymer; a daughter, Marcia Lynn Heying (Patrick) of Lathrop; one brother, Conrad Keith Barber of Montrose, CO; one sister, Evelyn Josephine Jones of Excelsior Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Michele Moerer; her parents; and two brothers, Jack Barber and Steve Barber.

Funeral services will be held at the Lawson Assembly of God Church in Lawson on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday at 10 a.m., one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Cowgill Cemetery in Cowgill. Friends may call at the Lindley-Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Wednesday, June 6, from noon until 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowgill Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
