Herman Orlin Way, 66, Hamilton, MO., formerly of Kidder, MO., passed away on October 4, 2023, in Hamilton.

Herman was born on July 21, 1957, in St. Joseph, MO., to Wallace W. and Dorothy E. (Waswo) Way. He graduated from the Maysville, MO., high school in 1975. He worked for Wal-Mart, Stride Rite Shoe Factory, Hallmark, and MFA Oil in Hamilton, most recently, which he retired from.

He was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, and liked to bowl, read, spend time with his grandchildren, and he was a Civil War buff.

Herman married Betty McKiddy on November 13, 1981, in Hamilton. She preceded him in death in 2022.

Also preceding Herman in death were his parents and his three sisters-Diane, Darlene and Delores.

Survivors who will miss him dearly: son-Randy Pelton (Debra), Cameron, MO.; daughter-Sarah Connelly (Sean), Hamilton; 4 grandchildren-Caroline Maples (Jeff), Randy Allen Pelton, and Lorelei and Orlin Connelly; 2 great-grandchildren- Bailey and Zoey Maples; and 2 brothers-Ward (Paula) Way, Cosby, MO., and Rex (Debby) Way, Liberty, MO.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m., until 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 11, at the Hamilton Methodist Church.

Service: 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, at the Hamilton Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cameron Comfort Care Hospice, Cameron, MO.
