Patricia Ann Leer
Patricia Ann Leer, 91, formerly of Kidder, MO, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville, Missouri, with family at her side.
Patricia was born on February 26, 1934, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Kansas City, KS, and later resided in the state of California where she attended school. In 1950, she relocated to Kansas City, MO, where she met and married Eugene "Gene" E. Leer at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kansas City, MO, on September 2, 1951. They were married 62 years and raised five children.
Patricia worked at Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville for several years and then worked in the lab at Cameron Community Hospital prior to retirement. Patricia thoroughly enjoyed living on the farm outside of Kidder, fishing in their pond, bird watching, and seeing the deer around the area. Her hobbies included reading and knitting. While still able, she knitted an afghan for each grandchild, which was quite a few. She loved her various lap dogs throughout the years and the companionship they provided. She loved lighthouses and became an avid collector as was evident throughout her home and her wardrobe. Each child and grandchild is fortunate to now have one of her lighthouses as a keepsake.
Patricia was active as a member of the Kidder City Council before moving to the farm. She was a member of the Kidder Baptist Church, holding the office of secretary for several years. Patricia had a strong faith and it gives her family comfort knowing she is now at home with her Lord and loved ones and has regained her sight after becoming totally blind due to glaucoma.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; son, Shawn Leer; great-grandson, Joshua Dean; and sister, Barbara Frietag.
Survivors include children-Diane (Wayne) Pine of Jasonville, Indiana; DeWayne (Mary) Leer of St. Joseph, MO; Terry (Judy) Leer of Weatherby, MO; and Anna (Steven) Laird of Pleasant Hope, MO; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. In addition, Patricia leaves behind numerous friends and extended family.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9. 2026, at the Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO.
Formal Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.
Interment: Cameron Memory Gardens Cemetery, Cameron, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
