Rosa “Lucille” Murray

Rosa “Lucille” Murray, age 90, a resident of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

Lucille was born the daughter of Glen Albert and Eva Mae (McBee) McKnight on Sept. 20, 1927, in Braymer. She was a 1945 graduate of Liberty High School. Lucille worked as a checker for Safeway for many years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters #145 of Liberty.

Survivors include one son, Thomas “Tom” Murray (Becky) of Gladstone; three daughters, Cynthia Puckett of Prairie Village, KS, Sharon Sue Crum (Bill) of Liberty, and Karen Lou Brane (Jim) of Kansas City; seven grandchildren, Kristin Lovell, Blake Crum, Brian Brane, Amy Pearson, Jimmi Shiers, Thomas Puckett, and Austin Puckett; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Leo, Roger, Nelson, Harold, and Randall McKnight; and one son-in-law, Hunter Puckett.

Memorial services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home in Braymer on Friday, March 9, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
