Ruth E. Blades

Hamilton, Missouri- Ruth Elva Blades, 97, passed

away February 11, 2024. She was born May 14, 1926 in

Amity, Missouri to Robert and Eva (Darling) Smith.

Ruth was a graduate of Cameron High School. She

married Ralph Eli Blades on May 9, 1953. He precedes

her in death.

Ruth was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church

and the Altar Society, American Legion Auxillary and

the Happy Hands China Painters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert

and Eva; husband, Ralph Eli; and sisters, Eileen Calvert and Roberta Howard.

Survivors include six sons, Gordon (Sally) Kirby,

Yountville, California, Robert Blades, Kingston, Missouri, George Blades, Jim (DeAnn) Blades, Ralph

Blades, all of Hamilton, Missouri; and John (Shellie)

Blades, Cameron, Missouri; 3 daughters, Ruth Bashford, Hamilton, Missouri, Annette (Mark) Burnett,

Kingston, Missouri, and Mary (Steve) Toney, Hamilton, Missouri; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was. Sunday evening, February 18, 2024

at Poland-Thompson Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Sacret Heart

Catholic Church, Hamilton, Missouri.

Burial at Bowman Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri.
