Busted

Fellow Americans,

According to www.usdebtclock.org, our national debt is nearly $20 trillion! That figure is so astronomically high it doesn’t seem real. To reduce it down to more imaginable terms, consider the total U.S. debt per citizen of $60,198! How did this happen? By foolishly spending more money than we take in!

It’s simple economics. We all must live within our means. If we run short of money and then max out our credit, we’re done; we’re busted. Since we can’t print money, we are forced to reduce our spending. The federal government plays by different rules since it can and does print money. This “print and spend” behavior is unsustainable and is crushing America because something must eventually give. A rubber band can only be stretched so far before it snaps! Will we be forced to pay higher taxes and interest rates? Will we lose benefits and social programs like social security and Medicare? Will the U.S. dollar lose its value and become worthless?

The Germans didn’t think it could happen to them after World War I, but it did. The Weimar Republic’s economy crashed because of the massive debt incurred during the war and the reparations it was forced to pay. The government printed too much money without gold to back the currency, which caused hyperinflation. The end result was currency that was barely worth the match to burn it with! There was massive unemployment and poverty. Crime and violence were rampant. Morals and decency went out of the window like dirty dishwater. Eventually, Adolph Hitler and the Nazi party rose to power with promises of a brighter future for Germany. Learn more about the Weimar Republic at www.alamy.com and see the photos of people pushing carts full of money to the grocery store just to buy a loaf of bread!

These are the real-life dangers of fiscal irresponsibility. Is this what we want for America? Do we want another Hitler to come along with empty promises and take control of our country? Luckily, it is not too late for us to turn things around. The first thing we need to do is stop the bleeding, that is CUT SPENDING! Go to www.onecentsolution.org to learn more. It won’t be painless, but it will certainly be worth it!

May God bless you and the United States of America!
