The Party’s Over

Fellow Americans,

With the election of Donald Trump as our next president, some people fear their party is over. For example, the “good reverend” Al Sharpton is threatening civil disobedience because he is displeased with Donald Trump’s nomination for attorney general, Senator Jeff Sessions. According to a January 7, 2017 article at www.pjmedia.com, Sharpton is coordinating with the NAACP and the National Council of La Raza to conduct a march on Washington D.C., where they will confront members of Congress who vote to confirm Sessions! Sharpton called for “a season of civil disobedience”, stating, “….This is an affront to everything the civil rights and voting rights community has stood for historically and a vote for Sessions should be held accountable and punishable by the voters.” What do civil rights or voting rights have to do with Sessions? What did Sharpton mean by a “season” of disobedience? Is this just the beginning? Will marching turn into rioting?

Okay, I get it. Sharpton doesn’t want Sessions to be our next attorney general, but why? Sharpton never gave a reason in the article. Is it because Sessions is white? Is it because Sessions may go after Hillary Clinton for her illegal activities as Secretary of State? Is it because Sessions may hold the current attorney general, Loretta Lynch, accountable for the many times she violated the Constitution and failed to enforce federal law? Is it because Sessions will faithfully and impartially enforce federal law and possibly hold Sharpton accountable for not paying his taxes? I suppose if I owed the federal government millions of dollars in back taxes for the past decade, I would not want Jeff Sessions to be the attorney general either!

So what exactly does Sharpton have in mind besides marching and confronting legislators? The article was not specific, but I have a pretty good idea he’ll stick to the usual game plan. With the mainstream media still under Democratic control, Sharpton will continue to use his title as “Reverend” to spew hateful and racist propaganda against Trump and his nominees in an effort to stymie Trump’s agenda. I can hardly wait for Sharpton’s party to be over!

lease pray for our country and its newly elected leaders, that they may put service before self for the good of all Americans. May God bless you and the United States of America!
